buildingSMART Iceland

buildingSMART Iceland under BIM Iceland represents a strategic initiative within the building industry to endorse and implement open BIM standards. Established by BIM Iceland, a non-profit organization with a strong membership base comprising AEC sector companies and public entities, the chapter is dedicated to fostering interoperability and efficient workflows in the Icelandic building sector.
Since its reformation in 2018, BIM Iceland has actively worked towards addressing the domestic market's needs through collaborative efforts and industry-driven guidelines. With a renewed focus on expanding its international ties, the buildingSMART Chapter under BIM Iceland is poised to enhance the nation's BIM capabilities by integrating global standards for digital construction and promoting international cooperation.
