Ian, an Australian architect, was Managing Partner of the Sydney office of a national practice and also distributor for RUCAPS and Sonata software (the first 3D design systems before the term BIM was coined) in Australia and NZ before relocating to the US to work for Autodesk as Director of AEC Products and Industry Marketing. While at Autodesk, Ian co-founded the Industry Alliance for Interoperability as the predecessor to buildingSMART International and served on the Board of the North American Chapter. In the dot.com era Ian was Vice President of Product Marketing at Blueline Online and Citadon, pioneering how the internet could be used as a collaboration platform by AEC project teams. As CEO of Newforma, Ian led the development of the first global Project Information Management solution designed specifically for architects and engineers. Ian has served on the board of the NH Tech Alliance, as an Executive-in-Residence at Building Ventures, as a MITdesignX mentor and is a buildingSMART Fellow. Currently, Ian is principle consultant at Built Environment Strategies engaged as the US Representative for buildingSMART International tasked with re-establishing the US Chapter.
Clive's career has centred on the leadership and delivery of complex programmes within the engineering, technology and construction sectors. His experiences include acting as the asset owner for multi-billion € portfolios, completion of first-of-a-kind engineering and construction projects, and the transformation and reform of national-level organisations responsible for programme planning and management.
Clive has worked in both industry and central government, including in strategy, policy and diplomatic roles. While based in the UK, much of his career has been spent living in or working with other countries, including the European Union and member states, the USA and Australia, amongst others.
Clive is motivated by a desire to help improve the performance of the engineering and construction sector globally - a sector which provides the very foundations for so much of what human-kind can accomplish.
Clive is a Chartered Engineer with a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College in London.
Aidan’s career has been focused on high-tech software organizations to deliver branding and messaging for the adoption of digital technology. His experience spans infrastructure project delivery and asset performance management strategies for firms looking to adopt innovative software solutions.
He has international management experience and has championed key messaging in developed and emerging markets. Having written extensively on topics such as BIM, Smart Cities, Big Data, IoT, geospatial and Going Digital, he has been a thought-leader in a variety of markets.
Aidan has been a regular speaker at industry events, including keynotes at international conferences. He has also delivered corporate presentations by aligning messaging to industry topics to showcase the value of technological adoption. Aidan has a grasp of technical product understanding and industry alignment.
Aidan has a Masters Degree in Marketing from the University of Gloucestershire, United Kingdom and a variety of CIM chartered qualifications.

Richard’s career has the performance improvement of industry processes as a consistent theme running throughout. His experience is with original equipment manufacturing, construction design and delivery, offsite manufacturing, power generation and aviation.
He has international construction industry knowledge and is a champion of collaborative design to provide built solutions that are delivered quicker, more sustainably, with better quality and of course, cheaper. His emphasis on relationship management ensures the essential conduit between technical and client and board level roles, which delivers best value, is realised.
Richard’s capital client career has included developing design for manufacture and assembly strategies, creating ISO 55001 compliant asset management systems and leading lean six sigma teams.
Richard is a Chartered Engineer and has a Masters degree in business leadership from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom.

Claire is a CIMA qualified management accountant with a degree in International Management and Modern Languages from Bath University.
She has a broad range of experience spanning 25 years in industries from music and media, book publishing and art licensing.
Claire is expert in developing financial systems and processes to aid better management decision making and long-term strategic business plan development. She is skilled at establishing team relationships and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of projects and activities.
Dan took his first steps into the AECO world when he started with buildingSMART International, having spent the decade prior as an Events Manager in the hospitality industry.
He takes pride in delivering seamless events of top quality and with high attention to detail. Dan’s flexibility and adaptability in fast-paced environments is crucial to the success of the events he delivers.
Dan has a good understanding of international relationships and cultures, having previously lived and worked in Vietnam, Denmark, Thailand and Australia, and embraces working with the buildingSMART community in all its forms.
