London, January 28, 2025 – buildingSMART International (bSI) is delighted to announce that Bricsys®, part of Hexagon, has achieved IFC4 Architectural Reference Exchange Export Certification. This certification represents a significant milestone for Bricsys® and underscores the company’s commitment to providing open, interoperable solutions for the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry.
The certification demonstrates that BricsCAD® meets the rigorous export criteria established by bSI for the IFC standard. This achievement ensures that BricsCAD® users can rely on a publicly defined and accepted standard to serve as the foundation for data exchange and collaboration in BIM workflows.
