Every year, buildingSMART International hosts a series of events.

buildingSMART International Summits
buildingSMART International Summits take place in March/April and September/October every year, and are always co-hosted with a buildingSMART Chapter. Summits are the perfect meeting ground for experienced openBIM advocates and newcomers alike, as both the attendee profile and presentation topics are so diverse.
General Assembly of Implementers
The General Assembly of Implementers is a 2-day in-person meeting, typically in February and August each year. The meeting is for software vendors who are implementing or planning to implement buildingSMART standards and services in their tools and dives deep into their technicalities, seeking future improvement and direction.
Domain Leaders Conference
The Domain Leaders Conference is the bi-annual occasion on which the Steering Committee (SC) members of all buildingSMART's Domains gather to collaborate on how they can collectively support the adoption of openBIM solutions and workflows in their specific industry sectors.

Chapter Conference
The Chapter Conference is the opportunity at the end of each Summit for all of buildingSMART's active Chapters to meet, plan, and align their efforts on both a national and international level.
Webinars
buildingSMART International frequently hosts free-to-attend webinars. These could be hosted by member companies, Domain steering committees, Chapters, or members of the buildingSMART team.
