buildingSMART France

Founded in 1989 and a member of buildingSMART international since its launching in 1995, bSFrance has become a forum for cross-industry dialogue and consensual work on interoperability, in the service of digital continuity between Construction, Operation-Maintenance, Real Estate and Territories.

Its aims: to contribute to the construction industry's digital strategy, focusing on data governance and the digital twin as a lever for environmental neutrality and digital convergence (as BIM and GIS).

Its missions: to support all the actors involved in a built asset in the use of openBIM, and to contribute to standardisation at French and international level.

Its actions: to help build skills (openBIM training label, international BIM professional certification); to work on data exchange practices based on neutral, open and interoperable formats; to share best practices that facilitate the day-to-day use of BIM; to collaborate internationally as in the European openBIM and the French Speaking Forums to enhance the French expertise.
