buildingSMART Spain is a leading non-profit organization driving digital transformation in the construction sector through open standards and collaborative innovation. As part of buildingSMART International, we serve as the primary catalyst for openBIM adoption in Spain.

Our organization brings together a growing community of members representing the entire construction value chain, including Clients, Construction Companies, Engineers, Architects, Technology Providers, Facility Managers, Research Centers, Manufacturers, Universities, and Public Administrations.

Our core activities focus on three main areas: openBIM adoption through strategic collaborations and the professional certification program; standardization through the development of guides and participation in technical committees; and industry outreach through our BIM Observatory, technical publications, and knowledge-sharing events. We actively develop implementation guides, monitor BIM adoption trends, and provide technical support to both public and private stakeholders.
