Serbia Joins buildingSMART International as a Developing Chapter

London, (September 28, 2023) – buildingSMART International is pleased to announce that Serbia has been formally approved as a “Developing Chapter” by the Board at the International Standards Summit in Lillestrøm, 18-21 September 2023.

The Board's approval follows a successful submission demonstrating the competency and strategic vision of the Chapter, backed by an existing national ecosystem with strong industry engagement. As a result, the Board resoundingly approved this submission to become a "Developing Chapter.". The application was submitted by the BIM Serbia organization, which will be the founding entity for the Chapter. As a not-for-profit, BIM Serbia aims to advance activities in the country to promote standardisation and openBIM benefits. The Chapter seeks to ensure collaboration and education for practitioners in the field to serve the various interest groups in Serbia and to contribute to the international program.
