Building Domain

Mission and Purpose
The Building Domain of the buildingSMART Standards and Solutions Program has the mission to support the development of open digital standards and solutions for buildings across all sectors and throughout their lifecycle. By combining, enhancing and developing open standards for structured data, the Building Domain will enable process and data integration for buildings across all industry sectors. To understand the Building Domain mission and purpose in more detail please refer to the Building Domain Charter. The Building Domain Roadmap contains a more detailed view of the scope and deliverables of the Building Domain including projects, structure and governance.
