buildingSMART International Welcomes Poland as a New Chapter in Development

buildingSMART International is pleased to announce a new Chapter has been approved by the board to enter “Developing” status. buildingSMART Poland formally submitted their application for consideration during the Board, SAC, International Council and Chapter Conference in Helsinki, Finland, 3-6 June 2019.

The new status of developing chapter was granted by the board following the formal submission, which included a formal signing of the Chapter Membership Agreement. buildingSMART Poland will be the 19th Chapter for buildingSMART.

Richard Petrie, Chief Executive, buildingSMART International commented that “we were collectively impressed by the submission to form a chapter in Poland. Not only does the country have huge potential, but we felt the work put in by the representatives was well thought out and robust to ensure long-term sustainability”.

buildingSMART Poland provides an open and neutral arena for highly skilled industry professionals to contribute to the topic of openBIM. Through its industry association and strong membership engagement, buildingSMART Poland aims to transform the built asset industry in its market.
